What In the World is Pastor Kevin?

Every week we run an "Announcement Loop" on the screen before worship with information about Fellowship, Discipleship, Ministry and Worship opportunities in our community. To get the confirmation students to pay attention to these announcements I photoshop myself doing different things. If the students correctly identify what I am on their worship notes they get points for their small groups. The group with the most points at the end of the school year gets a special prize. Here are some of the things I have been over the past several years.
Beefeater Guard in London

Sometimes I like to pick occupations that the kids aren't familiar
with like this shoe cobbler.

It would have been cool to be there but I can't imagine
being this close. Neither my connections nor donations
can get me within a half mile of where this took place.

I actually served on as a volunteer firefighter in Blair, WI
but this is a photoshopped picture.

I was never a gymnast and could never do this.

I lived with dairy farmers in Wisconsin but thought I would
give the nod to hog farmers since I live in Iowa now.

I try to think of seasonal things to be. Obviously this was
around Thanksgiving.

and at Christmas

Favorite TV shows are good sources of inspiration. I was
amazed that even a few middle school students knew this
was a Dr Who alien known as a Sontaran.

This one was built from five or six different source photos.

Good art inspires more good art.

A few people thought I went too far with this one.

Again, making it look like I am doing
something I will never be able to do.

This was the first photoshop I did that appeared
photo-realistic. It's still one of my favorites.
